SmartWay Transport Partner

Estenson Logistics has joined other leading organizations and the US Environmental Protection Agency in the SmartWay Transport Partnership, which aims to make freight transport operations cleaner and more efficient. Estenson Logistics cares about environmental stewardship, cleaner more fuel efficient freight operations, improved air quality and reduction of our nation’s reliance on foreign sources of oil. Together, we can improve the quality of our nation’s air and the working environment for our employees, our families and our business partners.

Through the SmartWay Transport Partnership, Estenson Logistics, the EPA and other partners plan to lower emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and particulate matter (PM).  SmartWay partners will help save between 3.3 and 6.6 billion gallons of diesel fuel per year.   By 2012 this would   eliminate between 33 - 66 million metric tons of CO2 emissions and up to 200,000 tons of NOx emissions per year. This is equivalent to saving 150 million barrels of oil per year or taking 12 million cars off the road.
